What can I say, Ashley and I have become great friends over the past year. From planning her wedding and sending her EVERY SINGLE black damask item I could find by text message, to her swanky shoot at The Nines as a surprise wedding gift to Matt, to her beautiful wedding day, we have become more than acquaintances! Ashley is gorgeous in every way possible… I love her sass and she sure knows what she wants! Matt is sweet and his affection for Ashley is so evident in their connection together. These two both had quite the journey coming together but as fate would have it, it was meant to be. When I asked this couple about how they met, I was shocked to hear that but they have known each other since they were about 10. After a long time of not seeing each other they met up for a drink after getting in touch. Ashley said, it was funny all the stories we shared and how fast we connected. It was one of those “meant to be” feelings.
Ashley is a girl after my own heart, being that she is a Maggie Sottero bride! Her gown was as gorgeous as you can imagine, and not a detail was left untouched. As I helped her finish getting ready in the bridal suite, she took my breath away in the ultimate bridal perfection that I knew would be captured during their day.
After getting to know Ashley so well over the course of about a year, I was MORE than excited when their wedding day finally arrived. Though it was quite warm, their wedding day was perfect. The golf course featured the most beautiful pond and willow tree, and hanging baskets of flowers adorned just about ever spot they could think of. Ashley and Matt’s hot pink and black color scheme really popped in their barn reception. My favorite shots are at sunset, when the clouds finally made their appearance and sealed the day with a beautiful ending.
