Hey pretty girl, can I have this dance – Kip Moore
Jillian and Josh are an amazing couple, with such a special story… They met at a Sports bar of all places. Josh’s brother insisted on Jillian going over to play pool with them. From that night on they couldn’t get enough of one another and soon Josh was creating a plan to propose.
How did he propose?
We were out at Pyramid Lake, NV, for a huge fishing Derby. Josh planned the proposal with my family, so my brothers and in-laws were out there at the lake camping too. We all had our fun on the lake, and around the camp fire that night. 0530 Came quite quickly. It was about 35 degrees outside, and we were sleeping in the tent. Josh had woken up before me to get “things ready.” When he finally got me up, I asked him to start the truck because I was shivvering! It was freezing! So he started the truck. I crawl into it, grab my Q-Tips and lotion, and start to clean off the cleep and dirt around my eyes. Still freezing, I look over to Josh and whisper “you better love me forever. Not many females would get up this early, after such a long cold night, just to get into that freezing cold water to fish!!!”
That’s when Josh walked around the truck to grab the ring box. He thought, “this is it! This is the perfect time!”
The sun hadn’t even begun to shine over the mountains yet, the breeze was whistling past the propped open truck door, and vehicle after vehicle slowly pulled in around our campsite, trying to get a spot in the water to fish at, before the guy next to him got to the water first.Josh walks back to my side of the truck stands in the doorway saying, “Babe, get out of the truck.”
While I’m politely ignoring him, he says it again. I’m still trying to warm up in front of the heater vents, so I kind of ignore him again. He then yells “Jillian, G-E-T O-U-T OF T-H-E T-R-U-C-K!” Totally confused, looking straight out the windshield, I say “Josh, the guys pulling up in the trucks aren’t going to take our fishing spots! The ladder chairs are already out in the water!!!! CALM DOWN.” and at this time, I turn my body towards him, and step out of the truck. He was on one knee, holding a lit up ringbox.
He told me how much he appreciated me and wanted to spend forever with me, and asked me oh so kindly to Marry him. I was in SHOCK. I hugged him for a while, and by this time, the sun had peeked over the mountain. I said thank you, Thank you! He said “well, Will You?” HAHAHA… “Of course I will!!” Josh then yelled, “Let’s go catch a big fish then! WOOHOO”On his second cast, Hhe caught a 14 pound trout! My entire family ended up coming out and Josh and I fished until about Noon. I got to tell the story and show them the ring once we got off the lake. 🙂
