I met Sherry via the internet not too long ago. During our first emails, Sherry shared that her and Robert were getting married in beautiful Kailua-Kona area on the big island of Hawaii, and that she was in need of a wedding photographer. Of course I jumped at the opportunity to photograph this sweet couple in paradise, BUT more importantly, I wanted to be able to provide Sherry and Robert with amazing images!
Sherry & Robert met online 6 years ago. When they finally took the plunge ans poke on the phone, they stayed up all night talking. Neither of them could believe how in sync they were from the start. After their all night long phone call, the decided to meet up in person, and they never looked back! Robert moved to Chelan 3 months later to be with Sherry – SO SWEET! Like the team that they are, Robert and Sherry talked about getting married before anything official was arranged. One morning Robert woke Sherry up and romantically asked her to marry him.
When I asked Sherry what her favorite thing about Robert is, had this to say…
He is my best match, he really gets me and supports me. He is my rock. He is my other half.
And Robert had to say this…
My favorite thing about Sherry and I is that we are a team. She has an amazing sense of humor and a unique personality. I’m glad she puts up with me… I also love her butt 🙂
My husband and I were beyond blessed to capture Sherry and Robert’s wedding. We had the pleasure of staying with the entire wedding party and the amazing Ohana Retreat in Kailua-Kona, and we were blessed with getting to know some of the nicest people. After an amazing wedding ceremony full of so many personal touches, we stole the bride and groom away for bridal portraits all around the beautiful plantation and then of course we headed to the beach to capture the gorgeous sunset! Here are some favorite images from the wedding day!
